Winery Malápio is a family-owned, artisanal project dedicated to reviving the medieval tradition of winemaking in clay amphorae (talhas) within the Bairrada region. Combining the richness of centenarian old vines with a minimal intervention philosophy, we produce natural and authentic amphora wines with a strong territorial identity. As part of our wine tourism offering, we open the doors of our century-old cellar to provide complete experiences: from guided vineyard tours overlooking the Cértima rice fields and winemaking workshops, to exclusive tastings of DOC Bairrada amphora wines paired with the iconic spit-roasted Bairrada suckling pig (Leitão Assado à Bairrada).
